The Odan/Detech Group Inc. was formed in June of 1992 by the amalgamation of The Odan Corporation (which was formed in 1985) and Detech Engineering (which was formed in 1988). The Odan Corporation was a Consulting Engineering firm, originally based in Stoney Creek. Odan’s expertise in engineering was primarily in the Civil Engineering fields, which encompassed Marine Engineering, Stormwater management, hydraulic structures, subdivision design, water distribution design and wastewater treatment design. Detech Engineering was also a Consulting Engineering firm based in Toronto. Detech’s expertise in engineering was focused in the Building Sciences fields. Building Sciences is comprised of Roofing, Cladding, Parking Structures, Thermographic Studies, Air/Vapour Retarders, Technical Audits and Project Management.
Historical projects have earned us a presence in Europe, Croatia specifically, parts of the United States of America and various provinces in Canada.
The Odan/Detech Group Inc. is currently stationed in Burlington, Ontario and projects can be found in the local region, province-wide as well as across the country.

John graduated in 1980 from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering. He has over 40 years of experience in Civil and Structural Engineering and is the Chief Engineer and President of The Odan / Detech Group Inc. John is responsible for the day to day designs, and is presently working on many projects for major corporate chains like Canadian Tire, Loblaws, and major developers such as RioCan, Oxford and KingSett.

Drago graduated in 1983 from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. He has over 35 years of experience in the Civil and Building Science fields and is Vice President and General Manager at The Odan/Detech Group Inc. Drago is responsible for the day to day operation and is presently involved with providing engineering services to many projects in the downtown Toronto core, including “The Well” and Yorkville.

Paul graduated in 2001 from Ryerson University with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil). He has over 20 years of experience in the civil engineering field and is a Senior Project Engineer and Principal at The Odan/Detech Group Inc. He is presently working on many projects in newly developed areas such as Innisfil, Smithville and Waterdown for clients looking to expand up and coming communities. Paul specializes in site development and Storm Water Management.

Mark graduated in 1997 from Humber College with a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology. He has over 25 years of experience in the Civil Engineering and Construction fields and is a Senior Project Manager and Principal at The Odan/Detech Group Inc. Mark provides knowledgeable insight during both the design and construction stages for Commercial, Residential, and Industrial developments.
